The Cobia Story
Marine Farms has used its decades of experience in fish farming to develop the aquaculture facility off the coast of Vietnam. This ensures that the cobia is farmed to the highest possible standards. The cobia is farmed in almost exactly the same way as salmon is, off the coast of Scotland; with the utmost care for both the welfare of the fish and the environment.
State of the art, 21st Century aquaculture
The aquaculture facility where the cobia is farmed, was built and is operated to European standards. The farm includes ten sea sites off the coast of Nha Trang, which are used in rotation to protect the environment. The area was chosen because of the strong currents here that help to protect the local ecosystems.
The Cobia Vision
An acknowledged leader in aquaculture, Marine Farms has set the bench mark for marine fish farming in Vietnam. The fish feed is produced to international standards and meets our demanding criteria in order to deliver a healthy balanced diet. The fish live in the open sea, where the water is clean, clear and well-oxygenated.
Supporting the local communities
At Marine Farms welfare comes first - not just for our fish but for the local community as well. We have a dedicated college scholarship programme in Vietnam, are a large employer and bring healthy revenue into the local community.
